Granted, had I died at six years young,
I would have learned to tell time late in life -
and had I bought the farm at twenty-five,
I never would have learned to disagree.
I am not the only one who feels
that television keeps much more from me
than it has taught me. Still, I hold my tongue:
placing blame is abdication - right?
Lately have I learned to hold no grudge.
Lately have I learned that I'm as young
this moment as I'm ever going to be....
you should live so long, my angry friend.
And if I live forever, actually,
I am something of a prodigy.
